Philosophy:
Dance should be open to everyone!
The goal of Kaleidoscope Dance Studio is to create a kind, inviting arena for
all students to experience and appreciate the joy of movement. Classes and
performances are geared to age and ability.
About the director, Liz Sackewitz: received a degree in Dance Education from BYU.
She was a member of the BYU Cheer Squad and Dancensemble. Liz was the recipient
of the Research and Creative Activities award and her choreography was
showcased at the American College Dance Festival. Between 1997-2000, she took over the dance programs at
American Fork High School, where she coached the modern dance company and drill
team. She has spent many years teaching groups of all ages and abilities at
local schools and studios, as well as running Kaleidoscope Dance Studio for 14 years.
Liz is the mother of Parker (14), Emi (12), and Quinn (8), and Macy (5).

Registration: Classes fill on a first
come/first serve basis. Space is limited in each class.

Tuition: Tuition
is August-May. You will pay 1/2 tuition for August at registration. If you take
3 or more classes per student, you may take 10% off monthly tuition.

Bring the registration form and the required payment ($18 for level classes, $16 for pre-ballet) for the 2 weeks in
August. Please bring these two things to class the week of May 4-8. If I don’t
receive the form/tuition by Saturday, May 9th, you could lose the
spot in the class.

PreBallet/Creative: (45 min) A great beginning class that focuses on creative concepts and basic technique for young students age 3-6. | ||||||
Kindergarten Ballet/Jazz: (1 hour) A fun combo class for students who have been through the PreBallet program. Like PreBallet, we use stories, props, songs, etc to inspire creative dance, but also focus on basic ballet/jazz technique | ||||||
Ballet: (1 hour) This class focuses on traditional ballet technique, proper body alignment, and musicality. | ||||||
Jazz: (1 hour) This class contains classic jazz technique, hip-hop/funk, cheer, and lyrical jazz. | ||||||
Modern/Contemporary: (1 hour) Modern/ Contemporary is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres like jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. | ||||||
Tap: (45 min) This class focuses on rhythm, precision, and fancy footwork. | ||||||
Hip Hop: (45 min or 1 hour) This style is one of the more popular and current forms of dance. Class is high energy and athletic. | ||||||
PrePointe Conditioning: (30 min) A class to be taken in conjunction with 2 of the (*) ballet classes. Focuses on strengthening the feet and ankles for future pointe work. |
